Many of you may remember our Pop Up Picnic under the bridge at RAM last March. It was an amazing evening, full of delicious food and contagious laughter. This year, we are pleased to host it again; only this time, we will dine at…WAIT! I can’t tell you. It’s a secret. I can, however, tell you it will be an evening at one of Jacksonville’s inspirational community locations.
For those of you who did not join us last year, the Pop Up Picnic is modeled on a similar event that started in Paris. The essence of the event is a huge dinner party where nobody, except PB&J, knows the location of the picnic until an hour before the start of dinner. In order to participate, either you or one of your friends will need to sign up as a table captain. Each Table Captain will be responsible for organizing a dinner table…literally. It is the responsibility of the Table Captain to invite guests he or she would like to dine with the evening of the event. A table can have either eight (8) or (10) guests. The Table Captain arranges decorations and assigns food and beverage responsibilities to feed the table.
The cost of the evening is a $25 donation per person. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Museum of Science and History. Tables will need to be purchased in advance. Once a Table Captain purchases tickets, further instructions from PB&J will be provided.
