Ghoulies, ghosts and zombies abound with an appetite for feasting and need to get down.
They came for a soiree, they came to sup. With macabre creatures like these, frightful things could pop up!
For those of you who know, our legendary pop ups are amazing evenings, full of delicious food and contagious laughter. This year, we are partnering with the Murray Hill Preservation Society (who also puts on an amazing pop up) and the Friends of Murray Hill Library to make it a ghoulishly good affair!
And this time, the pop up will be held at…
You know we can’t tell you that. It’s a secret. We can, however, tell you the location will feature unearthly, grim and gruesome décor sure to set the stage for dining with things that go bump in the night.
Wait a minute. What is this pop up thing?
Modeled after a similar event that started in Paris, it’s a communal dinner party where nobody (except the organizers) knows the location until an hour before the start of dinner.

In order to participate, either you or one of your friends will sign up as a table captain. Each table captain will be responsible for organizing your dinner party (i.e. table) of six (6). That includes: inviting five (5) dinner companions; arranging decorations and assigning food and beverage responsibilities.
The cost of the evening is a $30 donation per person or $50 per couple.
Table big enough to accommodate six diners
One smaller side table for your food (a card table works well)
Six dining chairs
Table decorations that align with the Dinner With the Dead theme (Get creative, prizes will be awarded)
One table setting for each guest at the table (plate, glass, utensils, napkin) – please do not bring anything disposable
Appetizers, entrees and desserts for the table guests to enjoy (bring enough to share)
Beverages for the table guests to enjoy
Trash bags and necessary provisions to transport and/or clean up your dirty dishes – table captains are responsible for the cleanliness of the space. Let’s keep the space as clean as or cleaner than we found it!

Other Important Information
Fabulous costumes that align with your interpretation of Dinner with the Dead are a must.
Prizes will be awarded for:
Best table decorations.
Best individual costume.
Best couple costume.
